Password Reset Information
If you are asked to change your password, you will need to choose a new password, next time you log in.
The LDCSB requires strong passwords to help protect users and their information.
Our Minimum Password Requirements
- Cannot contain any part of your name or common words (i.e. Hockey)
- Cannot be something that you have used in the past
- Must be between 8 to 16 characters long
- Must contain the following:
- at least one (1) uppercase letter - (A, B, C, D, E,...Z)
- at least one (1) lowercase letter - (a, b, c, d, e, ... z)
- at least one (1) number - (0, 1, 2, 3 ,4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)
- May can contain the following non-alphanumeric characters (` ~ ! @ #$ % ^ & * ( ) _ + - = { } | [ ] \ : “ ; ‘ < > ? , . /)
Examples of good passwords:
- Scho0lisFun! - (Uppercase S, F, lowercase s, c, h, o, l, i, s, u, n, number 0, and non-alpha !)
- !loveSch00l? - (Uppercase S, lowercase l, o, v, e, c, h, l, number 0, 0, non-alpha ! ?)
- IH@teC0vid19 - (Uppercase I, H, C, lowercase t, e, v, i, d, number 0, 1, 9, non-alpha @)
It is important to update all your devices and the applications with the new password. Attempting to access an account with an incorrect password can cause your account to be locked out. If you are locked out and can't log in, please call your school and leave a message for the teacher to have your password reset
What is the Desktop Computer Username and Password?

Important Note For Travellers:
The Board has no way of guaranteeing that students who travel will have access during their travels outside of Canada.
To combat phishing e-mails and online identity theft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required when travelling. MFA is a way to protect users by prompting you to confirm that the computer or device you are using to access your board Office 365 account is trusted by you. This is often done by sending a text message to you or using an Authenticator application installed on one of your devices. Students need to be aware that if you are planning to travel outside of Canada or the US, you will need to set up MFA before you leave Canada to access your Board e-mail or any sites (like the VLE) that use it to "authenticate" or grant you access. It cannot be set up outside of Canada.
- Add a cell phone number to receive SMS text messages
- Add a home/office phone number to receive an automated phone call.
- Install the Microsoft Authenticator App on any WIFI enabled iPhone, iPad, Android phone, Android Tablet or Windows PC to approve via a popup.
