K-12 Online Registration

This year, all new student registrations for K-12 will be online. Visit the LDCSB website to learn more. Kindergarten registrations are due February 8. Grade 9 registrations are due February 12 and Grade 10-12 registrations are due February 22. Note: registration for Summer School will begin very soon.

Virtual School Tours

In person school visits by new students and their families are not possible at this time. In order to give people a sense of what their school looks like, the LDCSB created professional virtual tour videos for all schools.

The schools capture the spirit of Catholic education, the energy of the school as well as the rooms and facilities. The videos are available on the About Us page on each school website as well as on a special playlist on the LDCSB YouTube channel.

International Language Programs Overview

Thirteen international language programs are hosted in 11 schools across the LDCSB from September to June on Saturday mornings and where requested, along with a summer learning program in July.

Open to all students, the benefits of International Language Programs include:

  • Enhancing a student’s overall education.
  • Providing students an opportunity to develop their first language and allow heritage languages to flourish.
  • Helping students communicate with members of their family and community, while deepening their cultural awareness, fostering pride in their heritage, and strengthening their self-esteem and self-image.
  • Supporting student inclusion in their schools when they see their identity reflected in school programs.
  • Bilingual or multilingual individuals are in demand and their skills can greatly benefit society.
  • Helping students to communicate more effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Students who study languages in addition to English and French perform better in other school subjects.
  • When students develop both their first language and other languages, their overall intellectual functioning improves.
