Draft School Year Calendar 2021-22
The draft School Year Calendars for 2021-22 were approved. Unlike past practice, and in response to Ministry guidance for school districts to wait for further direction regarding planning for the 2021-22 school year, adequate time for community input was not possible.
Superintendent of Education Updates
Superintendent of Education Kathy Furlong will be retiring this summer. As a result, the LDCSB will now be seeking three Superintendents of Education. Details will be posted in the Careers section of the LDCSB website.

Rachel Grasso, currently Teacher, St. Patrick’s Catholic Elementary School (Woodstock) is appointed as Elementary Vice-Principal, St. John French Immersion Catholic Elementary School.
Maria Giampa, currently Elementary Principal, Jean Vanier Catholic Elementary School is transferred as Elementary Principal, St. George Catholic Elementary School.
Matthew MacGregor, currently Elementary Principal, Mountsfield Public School, Thames Valley District School Board, be appointed as Elementary Principal, Jean Vanier Catholic Elementary School.

Melanie Morgan, currently Elementary Principal on a parental leave is transferred as Elementary Principal, Notre Dame Catholic Elementary School [Annette Marentette, a retired Principal, will replace Melanie for the first three months of the school year while she completes her leave].

George McAuley, currently Curriculum Coordinator: Anti-Racism Education, Inclusion and Diversity (K-12) and Curriculum Coordinator: Mathematics and Science (9-12) at the Catholic Education Centre, is appointed as Secondary Vice-Principal, Regina Mundi College.
