The London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) is pleased to announce the appointments of Peter Cocurullo, Roberta Gibson, Sean Gregory and Karen Nemett as Assistant Superintendents, effective August 1.
Peter Cocurullo
Peter received his Ontario teaching certificate in 1990, following the completion of a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University, Ottawa in 1988 and a Bachelor of Education degree in 1989 from McGill University, Montreal. He received a Master of Education degree from Western University in 1999.
Peter started teaching with the LDCSB in 1990 at St. Sebastian and then at Holy Rosary Catholic Elementary Schools (London) before being appointed principal at Sacred Heart, Parkhill.
He served as elementary principal first at Sacred Heart (Parkhill), then St. Sebastian, Holy Family, St. Catherine of Siena, St. Theresa, St. Pius X, and St. Nicholas Catholic, all in London. For 5 summers, Peter was the principal of the LDCSB's Summer Secondary School Program.
Some of the initiatives and projects Peter has been involved with are New Teacher Induction Program, LDCSB Lead; member of Elementary Principal Council; Practicum Partnership Lead, LDCSB.

Roberta Gibson
Roberta is currently the principal at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Elementary School (London). She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 from Western University, her teaching certificate from Daemen College in 2004 and her Master of Science in Restorative Practices from the Institute of Restorative Practices in 2022. She is also a certified trainer in Restorative Practices.
Roberta started teaching with the LDCSB in 2004 at St. George (London) before being appointed vice principal at Sir Arthur Carty (London) and then the principal of Monsignor J.H. O’Neil (Tillsonburg) in 2016. She was then appointed principal St. Michael’s (Woodstock) in 2019 serving the community until being appointed principal at Blessed Sacrament in 2021.
Some of the initiatives and projects Roberta has been involved with are the CPCO Program and Member Services Standing Committee as well as a member of both the Catholicity Committee and the Special Education Advisory Committee.

Sean Gregory
Sean is currently the principal at St. Mark Catholic Elementary School (London). He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1996 and received his teaching certificate in 1997 from D’Youville College. Sean went on to complete a Master of Education degree (Educational Administration) from Charles Sturt University in 2008.
Sean began his teaching career with the LDCSB at Blessed Kateri Catholic Elementary School, London in 1998, later moving to St. Sebastian (London) as a classroom teacher and Student Program Support Teacher. In 2006 he was appointed vice principal at St. Martin (London) and as principal at St. Michael Catholic School (London) and Our Lady of Lourdes (Delaware). More recently, Sean was seconded to the Ontario Ministry of Education - PDSB as principal of Amethyst Demonstration School (2018-2021).
Some of the initiatives and projects Sean has been involved with are the LDCSB Leadership Council, CPCO - Principal Qualification Program, Catholicity and Communication Committee, and YMCA Children’s Safety Village Program Committee.

Karen Nemett
Karen Nemett is currently the principal of St. Bernadette Catholic Elementary School (London). She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from Trent University in 1995 and completed her Bachelor of Education in 1996 at UWO. She received her Ontario teacher certificate in 1996, and a Master of Education degree from UWO in 1999.
Karen started teaching with the LDCSB in 1997 at Our Lady Immaculate (Strathroy) and then at St. Pius X (London), followed by Monsignor Morrison, St. Raphael’s and St. Anne’s, all in St. Thomas. During this time, she was a classroom teacher and then transitioned into the role of Student Program Support Teacher. In 2016 she was appointed to the role of System Student Program Support Teacher.
In January 2019 she was appointed vice principal of St. Pius X and St. Bernadette in London. She also served as vice principal at St. Catherine of Siena (London) from 2019-2021. She was then appointed principal of St. Bernadette in the fall of 2021.
