Woodstock Community Input Meeting

A Community Input Meeting for parents and guardians of current and future students at Holy Family French Immersion, St. Michael’s, and St. Patrick’s Catholic elementary schools and St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Woodstock will be held:
 
Tuesday, November 21, 2023
7:00 p.m. 
St. Mary’s Catholic High School
431 Juliana Drive, Woodstock
 
The purpose of this meeting is for LDCSB administration to present information, receive school community input, and to answer questions of clarification regarding the following proposal:
 
  • That, effective September 2024, all Grade 7 and Grade 8 students attending Holy Family Catholic French Immersion Elementary School, St. Michael's Catholic Elementary School, and St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School be directed to attend St. Mary's Catholic High School in Woodstock. 
  • That, effective September 2024, the French Immersion program be re-introduced at St. Mary's Catholic High School.
 
This meeting will also be available on the Microsoft Teams platform for virtual attendance. If you wish to attend virtually you must contact the LDCSB Planning Department [email protected] by Monday, November 20 at 4 pm and the meeting link will be provided to you.
 
 

Community Input Survey
Interested members of the school communities are invited to complete a short survey before the end of the day on Friday, November 24. 
 

Sir Arthur Carty and St. Jude Communities Meeting

 
A Community Input Meeting for parents and guardians of current and future students at Sir Arthur Carty and St. Jude Catholic elementary schools will be held:
 
Wednesday, November 22, 2023

St. Jude Catholic Elementary School Gymnasium
690 Viscount Road, London
 
The purpose of this meeting is for LDCSB administration to present the report dated June 26, 2023, entitled Report on Sir Arthur Carty – Re-designation of Holding Area, to receive the school community’s input, and to answer questions of clarification regarding the following proposal:
 
  • That St. Jude be the designated school of attendance for all new students who are residing in the holding area bounded by Southdale Road West to the north, White Oak Road to the east, Exeter Road to the south, and Wonderland Road South to the west, effective September 2024. 
  • That siblings of existing Sir Arthur Carty students entering JK/SK in September 2024 be granted the option to attend Sir Arthur Carty, with transportation provided subject to eligibility.

Next Steps

The input received via the surveys and the public meetings will be brought forward to the next Property and Planning Committee Meeting on Monday, December 4. A final decision regarding this proposal will be made by the Board at its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, December 18, 2023.
